GotGames is an Australian-Based gaming organisation which renders it alike to world-wide organisations such as Cyber Evolution. GotGames, to put it bluntly, is the home of all Australian E-Sports, whether it be Counter-Strike Source or Defence of the Ancients. In just over two years, GotGames has exploded onto the E-Sports Scene, easily being the biggest and best Australian E-Sports community out there. With many activer members always helping each other out on the forums, a team of dedicated admins, moderators, and writers, GotGames has everything a gamer could possibly want.

GotGames runs the biggest and most professionally organised and promoted online and LAN competitions for all 4 gaming platforms, PC, XBOX, Playstation, and Nintendo. WarMod

WarMod, a plugin solely created and coded by Twelve-60 of GotGames, is a completely free SourceMod plugin aimed at the popular Half-Life 2 mod, Counter-Strike:Source. It is specifically designed to be used for competitive matches in E-Sports, and provides the flexibility and easy use to suit any form of competitions, whether it be large national tournaments, or small friendly clan matches. It is coded in the SourcePawn language which is built to be small and fast yet effective, enabling it to use minimal CPU usage on the server. Warmod, coupled with Stripper:Source (removes clutter in the maps such as barrels and junk) and zBlock (blocks dodgy console commands) makes CS:S more competitive in many aspects.

GotGames Live

GotGames Live is the next evolution of GotGames's well-known PUG system. However, GotGames Live is much more than just a PUG system. GotGames Live allows players to instantly chat to fellow GotGames members in real-time, replacing the need for IRC. GotGames Live also features a Scrim system that facilitates teams and players looking for scrims.

For more information and documentation, visit the Live Wiki Category

Booking System

GotGames not only hosts a PUG service, but also provides a server booking system where players can book their own servers for a variety of Games. Currently, the booking service revolves around Counter-Strike: Source. Players booking servers are given limited control over the server so they can play competitive 5v5 matches, coupled with the use of SourceMod plugin, WarMod. Currently, the Booking System is temporarily shutdown until after Christmas, so it can be recoded to reduce server load and increase functioning. GotGames is sorry for any inconvenience, but it is for the better of the community.

GotGames Community

Forums

The GotGames community revolves around its Forums. All community members and staff are active on the forums, and it is the most effective way to become more familiar with the community. By registering on our forums, not only do you have access to hundreds of exclusive E-Sports articles, but you can join in the discussions with thousands of other Australian gamers. To join in on the fun and games, sign up on the GotGames Forums.

Before posting, make sure you read the GotGames Forum Etiquette and Tips Thread.

GotGames Live

GotGames Live extends the power of the GotGames Forums to its own Web Application. Here you can instantly chat to any other GotGames user that is online.

IRC

IRC, short for Internet Relay Chat, is an effective and free method of online chat. Most GotGames members are always logged into the IRC network, and IRC is by far the easiest method to contact a GotGames staff member, besides of course sending them a private message on the Forums. E-Sports communities around the world have channels on the GameSurge IRC Network, including CEVO, CAL, theCGS (RIP) and GotGames itself. The GotGames community has an IRC channel on the GameSurge network, the most popular global Gaming IRC Network. For more information on how to connect to our channel, and begin chatting away, read the mIRC Guide.

LAN Community

GotGames does not only focus on online gaming, but provides services to organise LAN events, all across Australia. With a section dedicated to Australian LANning, and forums for each state, LANs are commonly organised on the GotGames forums. For more information on LANs in your area, visit the LAN Community Forums.
